FLORENCE (CONFER) DROEGE, 89
FLORENCE (CONFER) DROEGE, 89, longtime resident of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, in Tucson, Arizona. Born February 3, 1920, in Wells County, she retired from Lincoln National Life Insurance Company after 28 years of service, in 1983.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and attended Faith Lutheran Church, while residing in Arizona. She was also a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Rev. Garry) McClure of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Tim (Krista) Droege, Jennifer (Rich) Blain, Amy (Jay) Kirch, Kimberly (Steven) Vuturo and Mark (Merlyn) McClure; great-grandchildren, Eva Droege, Bridgett Blain, Zachary and Jordan Kirch, Jack Vuturo and Alexander McClure; and step-great-grandchild, Paige Blain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Paul M. Droege, in 1978; and son, Jim Droege of Warren, Michigan
Service was Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne. Rev. Jeff Olsen officiating. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
