KATHRYN J. ANDERS, 77
KATHRYN J. ANDERS, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Lifecare Center. Born June 11, 1927, in Kosciusko, she was a Professor Emeritus for Huntington College where she worked for 18 years as an assistant professor of Elementary Education, retiring in 1995. She had also taught at Aboite Elementary School and worked part-time at Manchester College, I.P.F.W. and St. Francis University. She was a teacher for Life and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her second husband, Everett L. Lawson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Christine J. Anders of Des Moines, Iowa; son, Matthew R. Anders of Brookston; grandson, Kyle R. Anders of San Antonio, Texas; and a sister, Nell Rizzone of Aneheim, California.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert V. Anders, in 1979; father, Cloy Ellsworth Ford; mother, Dorothy Belle Mc-Elhaney; seven brothers; and a sister.
Funeral service was Friday, May 13, at Calvary United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Carmer officiating. Visitation was Thursday, May 12 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
