PAULINE M. SWOVERLAND, 86
PAULINE M. SWOVERLAND, 86, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. Born May 4, 1918, in Miami County, she was the daughter of Claude O. and Edna (Cress) Rimpler. She was a 1936 graduate of Jefferson High School and married John D. Swoverland, in 1938. A member of Arcola United Methodist Church and Arcola Lions Club, Ladies Auxiliary, she and her husband co-owned Sand Point Garden Shop and The Village Garden Shop. She had been previously employed at The Plantation.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeri Ann (Donald) Johnson of Roanoke; son, Joe D. (Ellen) Swoverland of South Whitley; daughters, Judy K. (Don) Ashbaugh and Vicki L. (Ronnie) Johnson, both of Fort Wayne; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Mrs. Jack) Swoverland of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grand-children; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was Saturday, March 26, at Arcola United Methodist Church, 11311 Arcola Road. Graveside committal service was Saturday, March 26, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, Indiana. Arrangements by Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
