DUANE “RED” TRESSLER, 73

DUANE “RED” TRESSLER, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Hospice Home. Born December 23, 1931, in Pioneer, Ohio, he retired after 30+ years of service at Bowmar as a Parts Inspector, in 1991. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #241 and AMVETS 33. In the late 50’s and early 60’s, he was a guitarist and vocalist in the county western band “The Trailriders”. He also enjoyed the internet and working in his yard.

Surviving are two sons, Kent Tressler of Fort Wayne and Kurt (Tiffany) Tressler of Warren; sister, Darlene Gunn of Montpelier, Ohio; granddaughter, Becca of Orland; and step-grandson, Thad of Warren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Theda Mae Tressler, in 2001.

Funeral service was Wednesday, March 30, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
