Little River Wetlands Project, a local nature organization protecting over 1000 acres of wetland preserves southwest of Fort Wayne, offers interesting and informative nature events this spring and summer.

Purple Loosestrife Removal at Eagle Marsh

Purple loosestrife is an invasive plant that, although beautiful, threatens to push out native Indiana wetland plants. Learn to identify and eradicate this dangerous invasive at Eagle Marsh. Bring work gloves if you have them and water to drink.

Bring out the grandkids (or kids) for this fun-filled hike at Eagle Marsh! We’ll walk by a pond and through the prairie looking for scavenger hunt items. Wear casual clothes and rubber boots or shoes that can get dirty. Free.
