MOXIE “BETTY” RYAN, 83

MOXIE “BETTY” RYAN, 83, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, N.Y., after a long illness. Born June 7, 1923, in West Virginia, she resided in Fort Wayne for 39 years before moving to Rochester for the past five years.

She was a gentle spirit who was beloved by all who knew her.

Surviving are her two sons, Ed (Cheryl) Ryan of Elkhart and James Ryan of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Jane Ryan of Rochester, N.Y. and Barbara (Dennis) Ham of Warrnambool, Australia; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linford, in 1988; daughter, Debra, in 2003; and brother, Bill.

Funeral service was Saturday, November 18, at Elzey Patterson & Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Calling was Friday at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
