JAMES L. MYERS, 79
JAMES L. MYERS, 79, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at Lutheran Hospital. Born July 10, 1925, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Paul Myers and Juanita Hodge. He was a General Foreman for International Harvester, retiring after 36 years in 1982. He served in the Army, until 1946. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wayne Lodge 25 F.&A.M., American Legion David Parrish Post 296, Mizpah Shrine and the Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife, Joan E. Myers of Fort Wayne; sons, Jeffrey (Janet) Myers of Oxford, Michigan and Joel (Michele) Myers of Hoagland; brother, Paul Eldon Myers of Florida; sisters, Betty Stultz of Pennville and Mildred Armstrong of Portland; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Clinton, Matthew, Ryan and Caitlin.
Funeral service was Thursday, September 9, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation was Wednesday, September 8, at the funeral home, with Masonic service. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors. Preferred memorials to the church.
