EARL DEWAYNE BAKER, SR., 68
Earl Dewayne Baker, Sr., 68, died Wednesday, January 9 at his Fort Wayne residence. A native of Fort Wayne, he was owner and operator of Baker Trenching and Excavating and he was also owner/operator & driver of Baker Racing. He was a member of Coventry Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing, fishing, and bowling. His desire was to be a good testimony to his family and friends and he will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Estella Morence.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn M. Baker, Fort Wayne; sons Earl D. Baker, Jr., Decatur, Indiana; Kenneth Earl Baker, Lagrange, Indiana; Richard L. Baker, Houston, Texas; daughters Debbie King, Laport, Indiana; Vickie Brown, Ohio; Bonnie Higgins, Lakin, Kansas; Shelly Marie Wise, Cape Coral, Florida; sister Marilyn Johnson, Decatur, Indiana; 17 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, January 12 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Markle Cemetery, Markle, Indiana. Memorials to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice.
