CHARLS L. “SHORTY” KREIDER, 79
Charles L. “Shorty” Kreider, 79, died Monday, April 15, 2002 in Fort Wayne. A native of Whitley County he was a parts courier for Navistar International for 30 years, retiring in 1974. He was a WWII Army Veteran and did volunteer work for the children’s home in Reynosa, Mexico.
He is survived by his wife Helen Kreider, Laketon, Indiana; daughter Sandra Winans, Roanoke, Indiana; son Dennis Michael Kreider, Fort Wayne; brother Sherman Kreider, Huntington, Indiana; sister Mary Myers, South Whitley, Indiana; 7 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, April 19, 2002 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Elmhurst Church of the Nazarene.
