IRENE E. (WALSH) BAILEY, 83

Irene E. (Walsh) Bailey, 83, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at her Fort Wayne residence. A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was a cook at Lafayette Central School and Kresqes Warehouse. She was a member of Zanesville United Brethren in Christ Church, Worthwhile Homemakers Club, and Allen County Farm Bureau. She was preceded in death by husband Delors L. “Dee” Bailey who passed away in 1994 and by brother Edward Walsh.

She is survived by sons David L. Bailey, Yoder; William E. Bailey, Fort Wayne; James D. Bailey, Fort Wayne; daughters Joyce L. Fate, Fort Wayne; Carol S. Barton, Fort Wayne; brother Bernard Walsh, Fort Wayne; sisters Mariellen Byerley, Angola, Indiana; Joan Stern, Indianapolis; Gerry Huffman, Carmel, Indiana; 10 Grandchildren, and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice – Allen County Cancer Services – Zanesville United Brethren in Christ Church.
