JOSEPH T. BRINKER, 87

Joseph T. Brinker, 87, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Born in Allen County, he was a Machinist with Zollner Corporation for 26 years, retiring in 1980 and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Holy Name Society and Zollner Quarter Century Club. “He was devoted in his faith and loved playing bingo and cards.” He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Helen M. (Pulver) Brinker who passed away in 1992, sister Ruth M. Kinder, and Grandson Anthony J. Brinker.

Survivors include sons Joseph R., & Paul E. of Fort Wayne; Thomas H. of Huntertown; George A. of Roanoke; daughters Rose A. Pratt of Auburn, Rita M. Brinker of Hoagland; brother Robert C. Brinker of Fort Wayne; sisters Jeanette Brinker & Irene Reed of Fort Wayne; 20 Grandchildren; and 21 Great Grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 9, 2003 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Wallen Road with Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to Masses, St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Building Fund, St. Therese Building Fund, St. Vincent DePaul Building Fund, or Provena Sacred Heart Home. Information furnished by D.O.
