MARJORIE HAWKINS HABIG, 92
MARJORIE HAWKINS HABIG, 92, of Clearwater, Florida, died January 6, 2004, at Morton Plant Hospital. She was born in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of the Rev. Kenneth and Carrie Hawkins and was raised and educated in Fort Wayne. She graduated from Central High School and Northwestern University. She was a Social Worker and later a schoolteacher. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Largo, Florida, the church’s Martha Circle, and the PEO Chapter E.G. She was a 15-year volunteer at Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ernest Habig, and a daughter, Sharon Sahr.
Survivors include a brother, Robert K. Hawkins of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister Mildred Graft of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Kerry Ohmes of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jennifer Sutherland of Vancouver, Wash.; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was l p.m. Friday, February 20th at Greenlawn Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Richard Frazier Officiating.
