ELMER L. WILES, 86
ELMER L. WILES, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, January 26, 2006, at his residence. Born June 6, 1919, in New Castle, he worked in management at Dana Corp., retiring after 36 years of service in 1983. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He loved playing euchre with his Tuesday card group and enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Canada and New York.
Surviving are his daughters, Ann (Gary) Tucker of Ossian and Gail (Mike) Simone of Fort Wayne; son, Dan Wiles of Fort Wayne; sister, Ruth Martin of Centerville; dear friend, Betty Lorenz of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Ruth Hageman Wiles, in 1991.
Funeral service was Monday, January 30, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne. Calling was Sunday, January 29 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
