DULLA MARY SCHLAUDRAFF, 100, died Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born July 6, 1915 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late John and Margaret Aschliman. She graduated in 1932 in the first graduating class at Elmhurst High School. She worked as a baker at Elmhurst until age 70 and then finished her 42-year career with Fort Wayne Community Schools at age 88 in the food service center. She was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association for over 50 years. She bowled a 299 but never achieved the perfect 300.
Surviving are her daughter, Anna (Donald) Wenger, Fort Wayne; son-in-law, Richard Kizer, Bishop, California; 3 brothers, Milton Aschliman, New Haven, Indiana, Carl Aschliman, Fort Wayne, IN, Donald Aschliman, Hamilton, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Dulla was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Kizer; sister, Marian Krebs; a great-grandson, David Kizer and William Schlaudraff.
Funeral service was 10am, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road with viewing 30 minutes prior to service. There was also a viewing on Wednesday, 3-8pm at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
