EDWIN LAVERE TEETERS JR., 82, passed away June 9, 2014 at Woodview Healthcare in Fort Wayne. He was born October 23, 1931 in Fort Wayne to Edwin L. and Bernadine J. Teeters, Sr.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion #83, a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants with 25 years of perfect attendance. He worked for Gladieux Refinery as an accountant, and retired as the bank manager of People’s Employee Credit Union. Edwin enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his sons Kirk E. (Linda), Craig A. (Amy), and Kevin R. (Marcia) Teeters; a daughter Cathy Teeters; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his mother Bernadine Teeters; and his sister Nancy Schmidt.
He was preceded in passing by his father and a brother.
A funeral service was at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13 at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church St., with a time of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne.
