DONALD E. HARBER, SR., 75
DONALD E. HARBER, SR., 75, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, December 22, 2013. He was born August 8, 1937 in Fort Wayne to the late Carl F. and Mathilda (Hambrock) Harber. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and a Eucharistic Minister. He retired in 1989 from Zollner Pistons after 32 years.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Elliott) Harber of Fort Wayne; children, Lori (Larry) Mourey of Williamston, MI, Patricia (John) Fisher of Fort Wayne, Donald (Michelle) Harber, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Michael Harber of Fort Wayne, Shelly (Greg) Pelz of Fort Wayne, Susan (Troy) Clem of Fort Wayne, Leslie (Troy) Phillips of Canton, Texas, and Matthew Harber of Fort Wayne; siblings, Jeanette Hagan of Fort Wayne, Carl “Junior” Harber of Fort Wayne, Rosann (Jack) Hohenstein of Columbia City, Mary (Steve) Leffel of Fort Wayne, Judy Jett of Jackson, Kentucky, and Pearl Yoss of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mildred Foster, Roger Harber, and Geraldine Keipper; and grandson Joshua Harber Till.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation was Friday, December 27, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery.
