ROBERT L. THURBER, JR., 75

ROBERT L. THURBER, JR., 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Riverbend Health Care and Rehab Center. Mr. Thurber was born on October 21, 1934 in Fort Wayne to the late Robert and Dorthy (Snyder) Thurber, Sr.

Mr. Thurber was the owner and operator at Waynedale Radiator, Inc. and later worked at Auto Zone from 2000-2008. Mr. Thurber was also involved with saving the Embassy Theater in the 1980s.

Surviving include his wife, Janna Thurber; son Matthew Thurber; daughter Charlene Wiles; grandchildren Matthew K. and Alexia C. Thurber and Rachel Wagner all of Fort Wayne.

A memorial service will take place at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funeral, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, IN., with one-hour visitation prior to services.
