BLAZERS PREPARE FOR GREAT VOLLEYBALL SEASON
Although The Lady Blazers team of Roanoke Baptist High School is minimal in number, their ability in volleyball greatly exceeds the expectations of the casual observer. Last year, the Blazers’ record was just a few wins short of a perfect season. They attended a tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, where they were able to earn first place out of eight teams.
Annually, the Roanoke Baptist Blazers host an awesome tournament with great concessions and, of course, outstanding competition. After a tough battle in their championship game last year, the Blazers were defeated, but they kept their spirits high and gave God the glory for the gifts He has given them.
Now, as the Blazers have recently begun the 2007 season, God has blessed them with a great 3 – 0 record. They are anticipating that the season will continue to be as exceptional as it has already been thus far.
