ESTHER JEAN BENNETT, 55, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, September 25, 2006, at her residence. She was born on May 8, 1951, in Dekalb County. She worked at NuCor Fasteners, St. Joe, in Quality Control for 16 years and was a cashier at WalMart for five years. She was a member of American Legion 241 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Arvenus Bennett; mother, Wilma Esther Fogleson of Butler; son, Merle Ray (Tasha) Gerbers of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Elaine Davis of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Austin Nichols, Andrew Gerbers, Braden Gerbers and Kaylee Gerbers, all of Fort Wayne; sister, Sharon Bowers of Waterloo; brothers, Jeff Fogleson of Youngstown, Ohio, Mike Fogleson of Waterloo and Gary Fogleson of Sturgis, Michigan; and two step grandchildren, Aldrick Hughs of Fort Wayne and DeMarco Hughs of Chicago, Illinois.
Funeral service was Saturday, September 20, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Butler Cemetery.
