DOROTHA W. MERREN

DOROTHA W. MERREN, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at her home in Fort Wayne. Born in Lima, Ohio, she was a Machine Operator with Bowmar Instrument Company and a member of its UAW Union Local #1389 for 28 years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital for over 25 years, Civic Theater for 7 years and St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen.

Survivors include husband, Richard H. Merren, Jr.of Fort Wayne; son, John (Gloria) Kruse of South Bend; nine grandchildren; brother, Arthur Snyder of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Fritz Kruse in 2000 and Gary W. Nevius in 2005.

Mass of Christian Burial was Friday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road with calling one hour prior. Msgr. William Lester officiating. Calling was from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with Rosary at 7:15 pm Thursday. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
