GERALD W. TOOR, 81

GERALD W. TOOR, 81, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, March 10, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born May 13, 1924, in Fort Wayne, he was the storekeeper at Fruehauf Trailer for 44 years, retiring in 1986 and also worked at Napa Auto Parts for eight years. He was a member of American Legion #241 and United Faith Presbyterian Church. He was a World War II and Korean Navy Veteran.

Survived by his wife, Burnice “Burnie” Toor of Fort Wayne; sons, Steven Toor of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Jane) Toor of Kokomo and Gerald L. (Sharon) Toor of Fort Wayne; daughter, Deborah Hyatt of Fort Wayne; brothers, Dean Toor of Fort Wayne and Thomas Toor of New Smyrna, Florida; grandchildren, Lisa Cearbaugh, Andrea Hyatt, Joshua Hyatt, Erica Toor and Ashley Toor; and great-grandchildren, Kody Cearbaugh and Katelynn Cearbaugh.

Service was Tuesday, March 14 at United Faith Presbyterian Church, 1616 West Main Street, Fort Wayne. Calling was also Monday, March 13, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
