RUTH R. NETHERLAND, 84, died Friday, September 3, 2004, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late H. Kenneth and Marion (Dubois) Rogers. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters, Sally N. (Thomas Dean) Swihart of Fort Wayne, Nancy N. (Dennis) Becker of Fort Wayne, Kimberly A. Netherland of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ryan Swihart, Seth (Miriam) Swihart, Blake (Jamie) Swihart, Caitlin Swihart, Devin Becker and Tyson Becker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Chalk” Netherland in 1999, and a brother, Kenneth Dyer Rogers, in 2000.

Service is was Monday, September 6, at Grace Episcopal Church, 10010 Aurora Place, Fort Wayne, with Chaplain Roberta Ring officiating. Calling was Sunday, September 5, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
