RUTH E. FAIR MEEKS, 84

RUTH E. FAIR MEEKS, 84, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at her son’s residence. She was born January 1, 1920 in Nebraska. A teacher with Fort Wayne Community Schools, she taught first and second grades at Washington Center School, and was a member of Aboite Missionary Church.

Surviving are son, Steven Fair of Leo; daughter, Luana Schone of Spencerville; stepsons, Kenneth Meeks of Toronto, Ontario and Harold Meeks of Lawson, Mo.; brothers, Paul Brenneman of Elkhart, Wayne Brenneman of Mishawaka and Stan Brenneman of Berne; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis A. Fair, in 1968; and second husband, John Henry Herbert Meeks, in 1993.

Service was 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21 at the Aboite Missionary Church, 7222 W. Jefferson Blvd. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.

Memorials to Bethel College, Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice or World Partner of the Missionary Church. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
