RICHARD F. “DICK” COATES, 75

June 11, 2003 The Waynedale News Staff

Richard F. “Dick” Coates, 75, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at his Fort Wayne residence. A native of Fort Wayne, he was the owner of ELCO TAP. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Elks #155 and the Indiana License Beverage Association. He was a friend to all mankind. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine “Jerry” Coates who passed away in 1998.

He is survived by daughters Judy Stayner, Fort Wayne; Suzanne C. Arnold, Stevensville, Maryland; Norma J. Heingartner, Fort Wayne; son Mark E. Coates, Fort Wayne; brother Donald E. Coates, Bluffton; 8 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, Indiana. Memorials to Turnstone.
