MICHAEL R. LESTER, 61

June 11, 2003 The Waynedale News Staff

Michael R. Lester, 61, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. Born in Fort Wayne, he owned his own business, Michael Lester Plumbing & Heating, for 30 years. For the last 7 years he was a school bus driver for East Allen County Schools. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lester.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Penny (Wilson) Lester; sons Mike of Rockledge, Florida; & Mark, of Fort Wayne; brothers Ron Perkins of Columbia City; & Joel Perkins of Loudenville, Ohio; mother Betty Perkins of Belair, Michigan; and 2 Granddaughters.

Services were held Friday, May 30, 2003 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home with burial in Catholic Cemetery.
