(NOTE: Bob was a close friend and adversary of our editorial department here at The Waynedale News. I worked with Bob for several years as an apprentice PBX and Key Systems Installer for General Telephone. Bob was a Journeyman Telephone Equipment Installer who took me under his wing as a ‘green’ on-the-job trainee apprentice back in 1965 after I had gotten out of the US Navy. I owe a large debt of gratitude to Bob along with several other men in GTE’s PBX Department who helped me get my life started way back then. You were a real Dutch Uncle to me and I appreciated and respected your honesty and lectures. Thank you Bob; I’ll miss you buddy.
