ALTON E. RUST, 79
ALTON E. RUST, 79, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at his residence in rural Fort Wayne. He was born March 9, 1924, in Whitley County. A farmer, he was present director of the Allen County Farm Bureau and a 50-year 4-H leader. He raised sheep and showed them for 45 consecutive years in the Indiana State Fair. He was a past director of R.E.M.C. and a member of Roanoke Seminary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Irene R. Rust of Fort Wayne; daughter, Nancy M. Rust Bodeker of Avilla; sons, Gale E. Rust of Roanoke and James R. Rust of Columbia City; four grandchildren; and one great-grand-child.
Service was Saturday, February 14th at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6910 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
