KENNETH EUGENE MEEKS
KENNETH EUGENE MEEKS, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, January 21, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. Born February 22, 1928, in Bluffton, he served in the Army during World War II. He was a plumber and pipe fitter for 47 years, member of Moose Lodge 242 Bluffton and Plumbers & Steamfitters Union.
Surviving are his daughter, Loretta Meeks of Orlando, Florida; stepsons, Robert Vironet Sr. of Fort Wayne and Michael Vironet of Gainesville, Florida; sisters, Evelyn Kolbe of Los Altos, California and Betty L. Meeks of Bluffton; brothers, Robert E. Meeks Sr. and Wayne E. Meeks, both of Bluffton, and John R. Meeks of Ossian; grandchildren, Laurel A. Cook, Amanda L. Montoya and Phillip C. Copeland; great-grandsons, Nikolai Alonso, Isaac Cook and Seth Chapman; six step grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelva Jean Meeks, in 1997.
Private family services. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
