GARRETT E. LLOYD, 91

GARRETT E. LLOYDGARRETT E. LLOYD, 91, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, IN. He worked as an electrician with Three Rivers Filtration Plant for 35 years. He was a member, treasurer for 60 years, and Vice-Chairman for many years of Spring Street Wesleyan Church.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and the best grandpa ever that loved gardening, trees, woodworking and baking pies.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Judy) Lloyd, and James A. (Susan) Lloyd both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Patti (Charlie) Snyder of Columbia City; grandchildren, Janice (Bruce) Conrad, Joyce De Leo, Jeff Lloyd, Leslie Lloyd all of Fort Wayne, Bart (Kelly) Goodin, Brent Goodin both of Columbia City, Brad (Kim) Goodin, and Ben (Chana) Goodin both of Fort Wayne; 16 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn J. (Smith) Lloyd on October 8, 2009. They were married on February 22, 1940 in Montpellier, IN.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nellie Lloyd; brother, Clyde Lloyd; son-in-law, Mike Goodin; granddaughter, Laura Brotherton; and grandson-in-law, Danny Brotherton.

Service was 2 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at Three Rivers Wesleyan Church, 1835 Spring Street with calling one hour prior, Rev. George Cecil officiating. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
