JEANETTE L. STANGER, 77

JEANETTE L. STANGERJEANETTE L. STANGER, 77, passed away at Lutheran Hospital on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Mrs. Stanger was born October 20, 1932 in Fort Wayne to the late Jules A. and Beth L. (Shaw) Toussaint. In addition to working at General Electric and retiring in 1995, she had worked at Emmaus Lutheran Church and most recently at Lutheran Life Villages. Mrs. Stanger was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Faith Lutheran Church in New Port Richey, Florida, American Legion Aux #241., F. O. E. # 3153, ELEX Club, and The Red Hat Society. She also volunteered at Lutheran Hospital, The Rehabilitation Hospital, The Women’s Guild at Emmaus Lutheran Church, and by singing in both Church Choirs.

Mrs. Stanger was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who lived out her Christian faith by serving her Lord and others. She had a devout and special love for all of God’s Creatures.

Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Stanger of Fort Wayne; daughters, Victoria L. (Steven) Wright of Elgin. Illinois; Tammy K. (Jeffrey) Fero of Fishers, IN; sons, Keith W. (Laura) Lehman of Indianapolis; Steven A. (Fiancé Dana) Lehman of Fort Wayne; Todd (Lisa) Stanger of  Middleburg, Florida; Bret Allen (Lori) Stanger of Warsaw, IN; twin brother Jules A. (Margie) Toussaint, Jr. and sister, Frances (Loyd) Denson both of Fort Wayne; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her Chihuahua, Grace Louise.

Preceding Mrs. Stanger in death was her son Paul, in 2006.

Funeral services were on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN with 1 hour of calling prior to services. Calling was also on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery.
