WAYNEDALE LIONS DONATE PLANTERS
Waynedale Lions Club recently donated four planter boxes at a value of $500 to Kingston Residence Assisted Living, 7515 Winchester Road.
Activity Director for Kingston, Rachel Fox states, “The raised garden beds helps our residents connect with strong memories from simpler times. While reminiscing, the senses are stimulated and the residents are not only able to nurture the plants but to feel a deep sense of purpose.”
The ultimate goal is for Kingston Residence to donate the yields of the planter boxes to Waynedale United Methodist Church food bank.
