JEAN M. KENLINE, 83
JEAN M. KENLINE, R.N, B.S, M.P.A, C.N.A, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jean graduated from South Side HS in 1951, St. Joe School of Nursing, received her Bachelors in nursing from Defiance College and her Masters in Public Administration from IPFW. Jean was the supervisor of the ICU and CCU at St. Joe Hospital for 27 years as part of her 47 years in nursing, retiring in 1999. She was a former member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. Jean was an avid reader and she enjoyed collecting antiques.
Surviving are her son, David W.(Mary) Kenline of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; granddaughter, Nicole (Allen) Kenline Lewis of Pittsburg, PA; grandson, Paul Kenline of Louisville, KY; great-grandchildren, Landen, Beck, Odin; brother, James P. Manning of Fort Wayne, Indiana and her companion Sammy, her dog.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Arinetta Manning, and her sister, Jill Shackleford.
Service was 10:30 am, Sunday, August 28, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also Saturday, August 27, 2016, 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
