LRWP TO HONOR SAM SCHWARTZ AT FROGAPALOOZA
Little River Wetlands Project co-founder and long-time conservationist Sam Schwartz will be honored as a Hidden Hero of Conservation at LRWP’s seventh annual Frogapalooza fundraiser, presented by Phillips Financial Services, at 6 PM on Saturday, October 22 at the Fort Wayne Country Club. Says Amy Silva, LRWP executive director, “Sam’s passion for the care of our local natural areas and wildlife over the years has inspired many others to get involved.”
The event will begin with drinks (cash bar), hors d’oeuvres and a chance to bid on silent auction items from art and entertainment packages to hard-to-get sports tickets. After dinner, a live auction will offer getaways, a unique visit to the honoree’s farm restored to wildlife habitat, and more. A brief presentation on Schwartz’s many contributions to nature in Indiana and beyond will follow.

Little River Wetlands Project is a nonprofit land trust protecting more than 1,200 acres of wetland preserves in our area and offering free nature events and programs to thousands of children and adults every year. Its Eagle Marsh preserve is the largest inland urban wetland restoration in the U.S.
