FIRST GRADERS ANXIOUSLY AWAIT BALLOON TRAVEL NEWS
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School first graders release balloons for class project
On August 21, the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School first graders took part in a fun and colorful event. To squeals of delight, the first graders let go of and released 52 pink balloons that quickly lifted up to the sky. Attached to the balloons are notes that explain that this is a first grade class project to see how far the balloons travel.
The teachers and first graders talked about how the wind will affect the balloons and the directions they will travel. Once people find the balloons and send in postcards to tell the students where they found them, the first graders will map it to see how far the balloons traveled.
The Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School first grade teachers directing the students in this project are Mrs. Julie Peters and Mr. Dan Vandegriff.
