AUSTIN BERT SHOCK, 76
AUSTIN BERT SHOCK, 76, of Huntington, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation, Ossian, Indiana. He was born in Fort Wayne to Austin S. and Stella Falba Shock and resided in Mahon, Fort Wayne and Roanoke. He was an Army veteran and was past commander of American Legion Post #85 in Huntington.
Austin is survived by sons Robert (Kathi) of Ossian, C. Anthony (Kris) Maryville, Tennessee, Floyd of Portland, Oregon; daughter Shelly (Denny) Anspach of Hudson, Indiana; grandchildren Jason, Larry, Michael, Matthew, Jennifer, Mike, Ben, Kyle; great-grandchildren Jace, Cody, Kylee, Chelsey, Gavin, Taylor, Clayton, Emma, Macie; and sisters Vivian Bragg and Paula Helvie both of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by daughter Brenda Trout in 2013, his parents, granddaughter Sabrina, brother Samuel, sisters Loretta Septer, Kathy Turner-Beeks and Judy Teusch-Tackett.
Per his request the family will have a private memorial event.
