PAUL JOHN VORNDRAN, 48
PAUL JOHN VORNDRAN, 48, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Parkview Nursing Home in Edgerton, OH as a result of a long term traumatic brain injury. Born February 2, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Wayne, he was the 7th child of George H. Jr. and Rosemary C. (McGovern) Vorndran. Paul was a 1981 graduate of Paul Harding High School and previously employed by Holsum Bakeries of Fort Wayne.
Paul served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves, 221st Ordnance Company, Fort Wayne attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Surviving is his pride and joy, son Austin Paul Vorndran of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are loving siblings, Diane R. (Ray) Garrett of Shelby, Ohio, George H. Vorndran III of Fort Wayne, Mary C. (James) Christie of Phoenix, AZ, Kathleen M. Rigley of Glendale, AZ, Andrea M. (Larry) Daggett of Bryan, OH, Michael J. Vorndran of Fort Wayne, and former wife, Mary A. Taylor (Gerdom) of Fort Wayne.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank nurse Joyce Fogle and staff at Parkview Nursing Home for taking extra care and special concern for Paul over the past several years.
Calling was from noon to 2 pm and 5 to 7 pm, Friday, May 27 at Klaehn Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 West Wayne Street. Funeral Services followed the calling at 7pm at the funeral home.
