RICHARD “DICK” P. HORMANN, 84
RICHARD “DICK” P. HORMANN, 84, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Kingston Care Center, in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a Broker with A.J. Hoffman Agency and The DeHayes Group for 60 years, retiring in 2007. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran; a Board member and past President of Concordia Education Foundation and Concordia High School; a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church; and also served on the Boards of Emmaus Foundation, Lutheran Homes, Lutheran Hospital, Home Loan & Savings, and Concordia Cemetery.
Surviving are his nephews, Kent (Leslie) Hormann and Robert T (LuAnn) Jacobus, both of Fort Wayne; a niece, Katherine (Steve) Jacobus Garton of Saint Charles, Illinois; five great nieces and great nephews; and numerous godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Herman D. and Esther Anna Hormann; and wife, Marian L. (Miller) Hormann.
Service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with the Rev. Scott Bruick officiating. Calling was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at the funeral home.
