DAVID L. MENDENHALL, 69

DAVID L. MENDENHALL, 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Heritage Park Healthcare. Born on May 12, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Mr. Mendenhall was a U.S. Navy veteran, then worked as a Military Tech at the Indiana Air National Guard. He was a member of American Legion 241, as well as a member of their Honor Guard.

Surviving are his children, Amy Lynn (Douglas) Gerbers of Woodburn, Beth Ann Mendenhall of Hulett, Wyoming and Brian (Stephanie) Mendenhall of Mentor, Ohio; brother, Walter Mendenhall of Fort Wayne; step-brother, Daniel Fisher of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Service was 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Calling was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, with Military Honors conducted by American Legion 241.
