RONALD D. COUNSELLER, 82
RONALD D. COUNSELLER, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at Hospice Home. Born on April 11, 1927, in Fort Wayne, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from C. N. Parker after 15 years as a plasterer. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was liked and admired by everyone that he met.
Surviving are two daughters, Kay Lynn Alberts and Rhonda Lou Counseller, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Theodore J. Counseller of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Stacy (Dwight) Swanson of Fishers, Ind., Ryan (Vanessa) Rutledge and Brandon (Samara) Alberts, both of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Sophia Swanson, Addison Rutledge, and twins, Isabella and Lillian Alberts; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Counseller was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine E. Counseller, in 2000; and his sister, Marilyn Johnson.
Memorial service was 6 p.m. Wednesday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service.
