20TH ANNUAL WALK FOR ANIMALS
Biscuit-crunching, treat munching, four-legged fidos are sitting up and begging to be part of Walk-For-Animals 2007. With pet owners in tow, dogs everywhere will take a 2-mile autumn walk through Franke Park on Sunday, October 7th as a special fundraising event for Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control. Animal lovers can pick-up a pledge sheet from Animal Care & Control, local Veterinary Hospitals, or through the shelter’s website at www.fwacc.org <www.fwacc.org/>
REGISTRATION & A PLEDGE MINIMUM ARE REQUIRED, SO PICK UP A BROCHURE AND FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO JOIN THE CAUSE!
This is a tail-wagging way to celebrate the joys of pet ownership while raising money to end animal cruelty through education,” said Peggy Bender humane education specialist for the shelter. “Walkers, with or without a dog are invited to join the walk.”
Registration begins at 12:30 PM in Franke Park pavilion #1. The walk will begin at 2 P.M. Vendors will be present to demonstrate products and services. Prizes will be awarded to top fund raisers in five categories. For more information call 427-5508.
