RICHARD P. “DICK” MCCORMICK, 65
RICHARD P. “DICK” McCORMICK, 65, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at his residence. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Ruby and Manford McCormick. He worked for Labrato Bros. Construction Co. then Mike Bultemeier Construction Co., retiring in 2004. He attended South Side High School; loved to hunt and fish; and loved his two beagles, Peanut and Sammy.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Shirley; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Kolbasky of Fort Wayne; sons, Rick (Tressa) McCormick, Adam (Candy) McCormick and Corey McCormick, all of Fort Wayne; brother, Danny McCormick of Fort Wayne; sisters, Norma Hathaway, Diane Smedburg and Tonya Flanning, all of Fort Wayne; half brothers, Jerry, Jay and Steve; half sisters, Debbie, Alice and Nancy; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Ann; a great-grandchild; and stepmother, Becky.
Funeral service was Friday, May 4, 2007 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation was Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
