CAROL DELORES NICHTER, 77

CAROL DELORES NICHTER, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, in New Haven. Born August 21, 1929, in Coatsville, Indiana, she was a homemaker.

She was a former member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and member of Local Woman’s Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her daughters, Devona (Mike) Hendricks, Karen (Rex) Jernigan and Paulette (Andre Parish, all of Fort Wayne; son, Rick (Connie) Nichter Jr. of Zanesville; sister, Norma Jean Young of Greencastle; brother, Wayne Johnson of Plainsville; her dog, Partae; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Nichter Sr. on March 2, 2002; four brothers; and two sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, April 30, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, Msgr. J. William Lester officiating.

Visitation was Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary.
