MAZIE A. WELBAUM, 87

MAZIE A. WELBAUM, 87, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she had worked for General Electric during World War II. She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church, a volunteer at Fort Wayne International Airport, a former member of GE FLEX Club and a member of Daughter’s of the Nile.

“She loved her husband Don and family very much and was an avid gardener who liked to golf, bowl, fish and was a world traveler.”

Survived by daughters, Judith Welbaum and Sandra (Doug) Lux, both of Fort Wayne; grandson, Nicholas (Jeannie) Lux of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Laura (Jeremiah) Lux-Thompson of Uniondale; great-grandsons, Jacob Lux and Jordan Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald of 56 years; and sisters, Virginia Yager and Geneva Bryant.

Service was Thursday, June 2, at 8408 Covington Road. Calling was Wednesday, June 1, at the funeral home.
