TUFWC HOSTS ‘RESPECT FOR LAW YOUTH CAMP’
TUFWC is pleased to host a ‘Respect For Law Camp’, an Indiana State Police Youth Services Camp, offered July 10-12, 2003 for children in 5th and 6th grades. Respect for Law Camp is offered to fifth and sixth graders and gives students an up-close look at how law enforcement and the legal system work. This three-day camp, co-sponsored by the Indiana Optimists, features personal safety and drug awareness classes, as well as recreational activities.
The camps are staffed by police officers and are co-sponsored by Indiana District Optimists. Personal safety, drug awareness, and exciting demonstrations are included in the curriculum. Recreational activities round out the schedule. The camps, held at major universities throughout Indiana, give students a chance to interact with their peers from other parts of the state, and are a great opportunity for them to become familiar with campus life.
Over 2,500 students annually interact with peers who have expressed common interests and who are also facing the challenges of tomorrow. Each camp is targeted toward a unique audience, and each meets its goal in a different way. The programs include well-balanced meals and comfortable sleeping facilities. The camp staffs are hand-picked, responsible law enforcement personnel from across Indiana and surrounding states, who have committed themselves to, and have a strong interest in, helping to prepare today’s youth for the future.

USF Students Named To Dean’s List
Dr. Marcia Sauter, Vice President for Academic Affairs at USF announced students named to the Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2003. These students maintained a 3.5 grade point average on a four-point scale and carried at least 12 credit hours.
From Fort Wayne: Michelle L. Cano (Fine Arts Major), Clinton Bontempo (Business Major), and Patricia Laws (Nursing Major).
