ODD FELLOWS DONATE OVER $500,000 TO ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION

Churubusco resident Les Roberson, chairman of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Arthritis Advisory Board, presents a check for $593,257.90 to Arthritis Foundation President and CEO Tino Mantella (right) and Arthritis Foundation Chair Pattye Moore (left). The contribution will help further the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.

For more than a century, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows has partnered with the Arthritis Foundation in the fight against arthritis by volunteering time and donating money at the local, state and national level. Since 1986, the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs have contributed more than $6 million to the Arthritis Foundation.

“We thank the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs for their ongoing support and commitment in the fight against arthritis. Their support enables us to assist the one in three Americans with arthritis by funding research and providing community-based services to make life with arthritis easier and less painful,” said Tino J. Mantella, Arthritis Foundation president and CEO.

The Arthritis Foundation is the only nationwide, nonprofit health organization helping people take greater control of arthritis by leading efforts to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases — the nation’s number one cause of disability.
