RICHARD O. BADE, 83

March 20, 2002 The Waynedale News Staff

Richard O. Bade, 83, died Monday, March 11, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital. His parents were Oscar T. Bade and Agnes (Foley) Bade. He retired as a professional engineer for the Federal Housing Administration. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Erma Bade who passed away in 1983. He was a member of English Lutheran Church, the Fort Wayne Turners, and the Society of Professional Engineers.

He is survived by his wife Florence I. (Webster) Bade, Fort Wayne; daughters Martha Starnes, Fort Wayne; Mary Detlefsen, Fort Wayne; stepsons Rev. Steven Schlud, Ravenna, Nevada; Jerry Schlud, New Haven, Indiana; stepdaughter Julie Poling, Fort Wayne; sisters Dorothy Holtzman, Angola, Indiana; Virginia Wheeler, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 5 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild.

Services were held Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Krauss Chapel, Trinity English Lutheran Church with Reverend Frederick Hasecke officiating. Burial was in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Information furnished by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home Wayne-Street Chapel.
