We will journey into five scenes of the nativity complete with live animals and real characters as we travel outside around the church building. Then we will go into fellowship hall to experience the bustling Marketplace of Bethlehem complete with spice and bread vendors, Roman soldiers, a census taker and other characters of the time. Finally, we will go to the sanctuary to see a breath-taking display of over 200 nativities from all over the world, featuring Fontanini’s, the Krider Collection, the Sauder Collection, sets from Dove’s Nest and All Saint’s plus much more. Additional display times for the nativities will be each afternoon on the 7th and 8th at 2pm to 4pm. Interpreting for hearing impaired A.S.L. and S.E.E. will be available in the evenings only. Join Mary and Joseph, the angels, the shepherds, the innkeeper, the animals, and your friends at First Christian Church on one of the nights. THE GIFT IS FOR YOU! SHOP WITH A COP
It may be a bleak Holiday Season for some Fort Wayne area children this year but maybe not. Wayne Lodge #14, Local Fraternal Order of Police, is now underway with its Annual Community Benefit Drive SHOP WITH A COP for children in need. “The purpose of SHOP WITH A COP is to aid area families experiencing extreme financial problems due to recent job layoffs, sickness, crime, or fire victims or people who are only working at part-time or minimum wage jobs,” said current Lodge President and veteran Fort Wayne Police Officer, Phil Geller.

F.O.P. #14 will allow each child from these unfortunate families to shop for warm winter clothing at the two Fort Wayne WAL-MART stores this December. The children are accompanied on their shopping spree by active duty and retired Police Officers from Fort Wayne, New Haven, and Allen County. Officer Geller said, “The idea behind the program is not only to help these deserving families, but to meet and get to know the Police Officers of our community. We want the kids to know that we are not just a bunch of meanies who write traffic tickets and arrest people. We are in need of donations.

“The first SHOP WITH A COP date November 28th at the Coldwater Road Wal-Mart is already overbooked and the second date, December 5th at the Apple Glen Wal-Mart is nearly filled to capacity. We are in desperate straits, and truly hope that anyone who can, will please make their most generous contribution to SHOP WITH A COP now while there is still time.”

“If we are lucky enough, we may have enough time and money to take a third group of children shopping. We can only have faith in the people of greater Fort Wayne whom we serve, and rely on their kindness. To donate, send your check to: SHOP WITH A COP,
Wayne Lodge #14 F.O.P.,
111 Three Rivers East,

GIVE A GIFT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON
There’s one gift you can give that doesn’t require a manual, programming or even batteries. In fact it won’t cost you a dime. This year you can give the gift of life by choosing to become an organ donor. The National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (KNFI) is encouraging all Americans to get into the true spirit of the holiday season by simply signing a donor card and discussing their wishes with their family.

There are more than 78,000 men, women, and children in need of a life-saving organ in the U.S. with nearly 800 awaiting a transplant in Indiana. If every American chose to become an organ donor, this waiting list could be wiped out forever. Sign a donor card; it may be the one gift that could change someone’s life. For more information or to receive your free organ donor card, call 1-800-382-9971.

NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION OF INDIANA NOW ACCEPTING CAR DONATIONS
Have a car, van, truck, boat, or other vehicle that’s cluttering up your driveway or just sitting around? Want to get rid of it and be able to take the value off your income tax? Donate it to the National Kidney Foundation. Call 1-800-382-9971 to donate your vehicle. It must be whole and have a clear title. Towing is free and vehicle need not be in running condition.
