CLARA O. HOLMES, 87
Clara O. Holmes, 87, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at her Fort Wayne home. A native of New Haven, Indiana, she was employed in Waynedale, Butler, Gary, New Haven, and Indianapolis as an elementary teacher. She was a member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Embassy Theater. She was preceded in death by her husband Sigurd N. Holmes, who passed away in 1973.
She is survived by sisters Ruth Minsel, Fort Wayne; Margaret Long, Fort Wayne; and nephew Dr. James A. Long II, Fort Wayne.
Services were held Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to donors’ choice.
