Robert L. Thurber, Sr. 90, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at his Fort Wayne residence. Born in Allen County, he was a past member of Waynedale Lions Club, and was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy J. Thurber, Fort Wayne; son Robert L. Thurber, Jr. (Janna), Fort Wayne; sisters Violet Wiggs, Fort Wayne; Thelma Baker, Fort Wayne; granddaughter Charlene Wiles, Fort Wayne; grandson Matthew Thurber, Fort Wayne; 2 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals. Memorials to Waynedale UMC or Heartland Home Health Care & Hospice.
