WAYNE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES OFFICE TO HOST “THE GREAT EASTER EGG HUNT”
Wayne Township Trustee Matthew Schomburg today announced that the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office is proud to once again host the premier Easter Egg Hunt in northern Indiana. This event has grown every year thanks to this special community responding to the outreach efforts of our agency partners working in conjunction with the dedicated Wayne Township staff.
Headwaters Park on the west side will be the site of this year’s Great Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26th at 11:00 am.
The challenge will be to find the eggs! Children from ages 3 to 12 are invited to come out and test their egg hunting skills.
The event is free and is targeted for children in transition, however it is open to all children in Fort Wayne. The Great Easter Egg Hunt is being sponsored by the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office with the help of the community. Along with a bounty of eggs, each child will also receive a goody bag filled with candy, fruit, coloring book, chips and more.
This is the ninth year for this event. Last year over 450 children searched the grounds in pursuit of the Easter Bunny’s hidden treasures.
Wayne Township Trustee Matt Schomburg says, “This year’s event should be bigger and better than ever as Fort Wayne Komet Mascot Icy D. Eagle is excited about joining the Easter Bunny to help make this event memorable for area children!
